RDA’s Competition Company Dance Program
If you’re looking to take your dance training to the next level, the Competition Company at Revolve Dance Alliance is for you! Designed for the very serious dancer, students are taught with the assumption that they are training for work and a professional dance environment after their high school years are complete.

REVOLVE COMPETITION DANCE TEAM
Class & Competition Schedule
Company members are Revolve are required to attend all Core Classes each week in their level (ie: lyrical, contemporary, tap, jazz, ballet, conditioning, elective), are eligible to attend acro and pointe, and are required to attend all company-related rehearsals as scheduled. Our unique ELECTIVE class is a weekly opportunity to experience new styles and genres of dance including but not limited to: modern, ballroom, improv, partnering, jazz funk, jumps & turns, and guest master artists! The focus of this class changes weekly so dancers are constantly given new opportunities to learn and explore!
Revolve Company members are also required to attend three (3) semi-local Conventions and Competitions from approximately January - May and a Nationals in June/July. We also provide our our Company team members with a list of 50+ optional conventions and competitions that they may attend on their own. When you agree to join the Company you are committing to these dates and therefore the pieces you are cast in for choreography and competition.
The “End of Year Showcase” will be held in June and all Company members are required to be present for that performance.
Each season our Company members elect their Team Captains to lead them throughout the season. Nominated and voted on by our dancers, the team captains for 2024-2025 are Aria P and Chloe K!
PRE COMP
A program designed for dancers enrolled in our PREK KINDER program who show and interest in accelerating their dance education with a second day of weekly class, are introduced to JAZZ dance, with the goal of auditioning for our Company team in the future. *invite from a Director required*
MINI COMPANY
A program designed for graduates of our PREK KINDER or PRE COMP programs. Mini Company members participate in the Company Line and compete choreography at 3 regional competitions a year. Members dance 2 nights a week and classes include: Jazz choreography, Tap choreography, Ballet tech, and General Technique classes. *invite from a Director or audition required*
COMPANY
Audition required: technical Level assessed and evaluated for placement in weekly classes, casting for competition pieces and guest choreography. Company members are selected for choreography pieces based on both their audition and performance during the previous season. Audition required

End-of-the-year feedback
Company Evaluations
At Revolve, we believe feedback is essential to our training and the growth of each of our Company members as both a dancer and an artist. Please do not hesitate to ask any Director for constructive feedback! We will also offer evaluations at the end of the season to any Company member interested with Directors, Dancer, and Parent(s) present.
Please note, acceptance into the RDA Company is on a season-to-season evaluation basis. Membership for one season does not automatically equal acceptance for the following season and casting for choreography one season does not automatically equal casting in the next. Company members are expected to display professionalism and teamwork all season and will be evaluated during summer classes again for the upcoming season. Audition evaluations take all of these factors into account when selecting members for the next season and casting in competition choreography.
